Death of Shedrick Lamb

Shedrick Lamb was born May 13, 1883, at What Cheer, Iowa, and died Tuesday, April 15, 1921, at Merden, Iowa, aged 37 years, 11 months and 2 days.

He had not been real well for almost a year but grew somewhat worse the last three or four months, yet his death came as a great surprise and shock to all.

He was married to Etta Dale Nov. 6th, 1920.  There are left to mourn his sad and premature death a sorrowing wife, his father, W.H. Lamb who is a veteran of the Civil War, a step-mother, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, Eddie and Price of Merden and Stewart and Bettie of Oskaloosa, Etta Burt of Melcher, Iowa, Maude Wilson, Mystic, Iowa, Kate Tucker, Kenosha, Wis., who could not get home for the funeral.

Shedrick professed Christ in the Methodist church at Melcher and was one of the singers of the Gospel Team.

Funeral serviceswere held at What Cheer, Iowa, his old home town, at the Church of Christ, conducted by Arthur O. Wright, the pastor, and the body was laid to rest in Highland cemetery.
