Former County Man Dies at Davenport

Earl Robert Schultz, 58,  formerly of What Cheer, died Sunday evening, March 13, at St. Luke's hospital in Davenport.   He was born March 30, 1907, the son of Robert S. and Emma Belle Schultz.  He married Lola Irene Downing March 25, 1931.  He was employed by the Quad City Construction company at Rock Island, Illinois.  He was a member of the Kirkville Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Jules Robert of Council Bluffs and Jimmie Dean of Exira; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George Ross of What Cheer; and two brothers, Willie of What Cheer and Verne of Moline, Illinois.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the Harden Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Ballensky of Sigourney officiating.  Burial was made in Highland cemetery near What Cheer.  Masonic rites were held at the graveside.
