Hazel Curry Zook

Mrs. Hazel Louise Zook, 84, of Franklin Park, IL, died Sunday, May 24, 1987. She was born October 4, 1902, the daughter of Walter and Ida Rose Schultz Curry.

Hazel married Chester Zook. They lived in Des Moines from 1984-1986, when Hazel then went to live with their son Luverne.

She was a member of the Royal Neighbors for over 50 years.

Survivors include her son; three grandsons; three great-grandsons, and a sister, Mabel Patterson (Virgil) of What Cheer.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.

Funeral services were held at 10 AM Wednesday, May 27, at the Mclarens Funeral Chapel in West Des Moines, Iowa, with Rev. Eugene Dye officiating.

Music was by Delores McDonald.

Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.


Hazel's mother, Ida Rose Schultz Curry, was a sister to Anna Louise Tancer (Joseph), Tena Fear (Homer), Elizabeth Albrecht (Herman), Minnie McNabb (Hoover), Emma Curry (Frank), and Robert Schultz.

Their parents were Wilhelm and Wilhelmina Miller Schultz.
