Pauline Long dies Friday

R. Pauline Long, 72, of Rural Route 1, Washington, died Friday afternoon, Feb 1, 1991, at the M.L. McCreedy Home. She had been in failing health since 1987 and was seriously ill for the past month.

Funeral services were officiated Monday morning by the Rev. George Bishop at the Jones Funeral Home. Burial was at the Oregon Township Cemetery of Ainsworth.

Rose Pauline Snyder was born May 31, 1918, at Nira, the daughter of Clifford K. and Harriet Ethel (Stilling) Snyder. She was raised and educated in Washington.

On Feb. 18, 1938, she married Paul Long in Kahoka, Mo. For five years after their marriage, the Longs lived in Keota. Mrs. Long spent the rest of her life in Washington.

She was a homemaker and member of the United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Paul, Washington; two sons, Bob Long and Bill and Marene Long, all of Washington; a great grandson, Jordan Jaspering, Burlington; two brothers, Paul, Brighton, and Charles of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Dorthea and Jack Trotman.

A memorial fund has been established for the Washington County Ambulance
