Harris

Lyle Harris, a son of Doc. Harris, an inmate of the county poor farm, died at the infirmary there of consumption at 11:30 o'clock Monday evening. The funeral services were held from the farm at 11:00 o'clock Wednesday morning, conducted by Rev. Mason of Boone, and the remains laid away in the cemetery there beside his mother who died a short time ago. Lyle was fifteen years of age and a bright, energetic and ambitious yong man. For the past two years he had been attending school in Boone and was a splendid scholar, popular with his teachers and school mates as attested by the many beautiful floral tributes at his funeral. About six weeks ago he was obliged to leave school because of failing health and was taken to the county infirmary, where he was tenderly cared for, but nothing could stay the ravages of the dread disease.
