Death Takes an Aged Man
Mr. Frederick Fittell who was buried November 1, 1892, was born in Sholden, England, November 9, 1814. He came to the United States in 1835, and lived in New York three years and in Ohio six years. He moved to Illinois in 1844. On August 14, 1837, he was married to Miss Sarah Roach, who with six children, three sons and three daughters, all grown to mature years, and still survive him. At the ripe age of 77 years, 11 months, and 4 days after a lingering disease he passed away. He was much respected by his friends and neighbors, as was seen by the large number who turned out to his funeral, although the day was cloudy and somewhat wet. The services were held in the U.B. Church, conducted by Rev. J.A. McAlmon. Our sympathies are extended to his aged partner in her sorrow, and to all his mourning family.
