Mrs. W.J. Joseph received the sad news the first of the week of the death of her father, William H. Craig, at the home of W.A. Craig, at Green Castle, Mo., at the age of 60 years 10 months and 1 day.  Mr. Craig was an early settler in this part of the country having homesteaded in Sheridan county in 1886.

In Loving Remembrance of
William H. Craig
Died January 29, 1905           Aged 60 years
Funeral Card Verse

Peaceful be they silent slumber,
Peaceful in the grave so low;
Thou no more will join our number,
Thou no more our sorrows know.
Yet a gain we hope to meet thee,
When the day of life is fled;
and in heaven with joy to greet thee
Where no farewell tears are shed.

Grandpa William Arthur Craig said that he was buried at Spring Creek Cemetery.  I have never been able to find a record.   There was no stone placed on his grave.   He lived with his son, William Arthur Craig and his family when he died.
