Lee County Pioneer Cemetery Association

New Sign Placed at Sand Cemetery

Terry & Linda Altheide, along with Judy Thompson, erected a new aluminum sign at Sand Cemetery, located a few miles south of Argyle.  Money for the sign was donated by Ellen Horner of College Station, Texas.  Mrs. Horner has ancestors buried in the pioneer cemetery.

The site is maintained by the Meek's Oakland Sand Cemetery Association.  Ms. Thompson is secretary of the group.
