Adams County: Floyd Lawrence reports that several stones in danger of being lost to erosion were removed from Old Brooks Pioneer cemetery, located near a riverbank southeast of the village of Brooks, Iowa, to the 1861 Brooks Cemetery. The remains were not removed. Floyd's uncle, Jacob Strait Lawrence, once owned the land. The cometery is completely landlocked.
